Prof James She is an assistant professor in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and a visiting research fellow at the University of Cambridge. He is also the founding director of Asia’s first social media lab, HKUST-NIE Social Media Lab, and spearheads multidisciplinary research and innovation in cyber-physical social media systems, viral media analytics and mobile media broadcast systems. Celebrated as a thought leader in new media and emerging cyber-physical societies, James is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council (Social Media) and joins other government and business leaders to develop solutions to key social media issues on the global agenda.
 

  Dr David Chung joined Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited as the Chief Technology Officer leading core public functions of Cyberport, namely IT&T services operations, Technology Centre, Collaboration Centre and Entrepreneurship Centre. Under his direction, Cyberport is continuing to focus significant resources on fostering the growth of local ICT startup and SME companies. Dr. Chung holds Engineering Management Doctorate from City University of Hong Kong, Master Degree of Business Administration from Open University of Hong Kong, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Chinese University of Hong Kong and Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in Computer Science from Imperial College London.
 

  Prof Danny H.K. Tsang (M’82-SM’00-F’12) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A., in 1989. Since 1992, he has been with the Department of Electronic & Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where he is currently a Professor. During his leave from HKUST in 2000-2001, Dr. Tsang assumed the role of Principal Architect at Sycamore Networks in the United States. He invented the 64B/65B encoding scheme (US Patent number 6,952,405) for Transparent GFP and it has now been adopted by International Telecommunication Union (ITU)’s Generic Framing Procedure recommendation GFP-T (ITU-T G.7041/Y.1303)). His current research interests include cloud computing, cognitive radio networks, and smart grids. Dr Tsang became an IEEE Fellow since 2012 for his contribution to the optimization of communications networks. He served as a Guest Editor for the IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications’ special issue on Advances in P2P Streaming Systems and also served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Optical Networking. He is currently a Technical Editor for the IEEE Communications Magazine.
 

  Mr Ringo Lam received the B.Eng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Hong Kong in 1993 and M.Phil in Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995. He is currently in the Ph.D program in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. His research interests include peer-to-peer video streaming, semantic web, recommender systems and social TV. Between 1998 to 2011, he found several technology start-ups in Hong Kong and Beijing in new media industries ranging from news aggregator - Wisers Information Ltd, online video editing community platform – Moochi.com and IPTV over-the-top solution provider – Anyplex Ltd., which he was the CEO and playing product architect role. He is a member of the IEEE and ACM since 1995.
 

  Prof Sukree Sinthupinyo is an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Engineering at Chulalongkorn University. He received his Ph.D., M.Eng. and B.Eng. from the faculty of engineering, Chulalongkorn University. After he received his Ph.D., he spent two years at Osaka University as a postdoctoral researcher. During that two years, he had been working to discover useful patterns from the dopamine antagonist molecules. Now, he is also a vice director of theTechnopreneurship and Innovation Management program, Chulalongkorn University.
 

  Mr Ben Cheng is the founder of Oursky, which develop web and mobile apps for small businesses and consumers users. Oursky have launched camera apps with over 3M downloads on both iOS / Android platform, and runs a photo sharing networks with over 800k users. It also operate an art social network with over 60k users sharing art works and collections actively. Oursky provide various development services to Startups and corporate with experience in distributed computing technologies such as Hadoop and Cassandra.
 

  Prof Punpiti Piamsa-nga is currently an associate professor at Department of Computer Engineering, Kasetsart University (KU), Thailand. He is also a deputy director of KU Research and Development Institute. He earned his B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from KU in 1985 and 1989, respectively, and his D.Sc. in Computer Engineering from George Washington University in 1999. He is also interested in curriculum development for computer science and information technology for both K12 and higher education. He has been Team Leader of Thailand for participating in International Olympiad in Informatics for 10 years. His current main research interest is about feature extraction and pattern analysis in various applications, such as medical image analysis, image/video content analysis, agricultural grain classification, and classification on big data.
 

  Mr William Chan is the co-founder Visual Squares Ltd., the company behind innovative brands such as convertsimply.com (online marketing services) and sloyalty.com (ecommerce marketing solutions). He was the accessor of Hong Kong ICT Awards: Best Business Award for 2011, 2012, and 2013. William is an experienced Internet and software technologist. Most recently, William was a tech lead at Google, leading projects in the areas of advertising, social, and mobile. Prior to Google, William was the fifth engineer of NeoPath Networks, a cloud storage company acquired by Cisco Systems, and co-authored patents in the cloud computing space. William also worked in leading technology companies including IBM, Oracle, and VMware. William graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science and received the Frederick Emmons Terman Engineering Scholastic Award.
 

  Prof Zhuzhong Qian obtained his PhD degree in computer science from Nanjing University in June 2007. He is an associate professor in the department of computer science and technology, Nanjing University. He is also a research fellow of the State Key Laboratory for Novel Software Technology (http://keysoftlab.nju.edu.cn/). He was a visiting researcher at School of Computer Since, University of Waterloo in 2009 and School of Computer Engineering, the University of Aizu in 2008 respectively. Currently, his research interests include resource management with virtualization, energy-aware computing, software defined network, social network. He is the PI of the 4 research projects on cloud computing and the major researcher of several related projects. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers including TPDS, INFOCOM, IPDPS, PAKDD etc., and obtained 3 patents.
 

 Dr Pim Soonsawad is lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS), Chulalongkorn University. She lectures undergraduate and MBA program in marketing management, principle of marketing, product and brand management, pricing, direct marketing, and social media marketing. She currently serves as Committee of International Affairs, Committee of MS Marketing, Committee of AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), and Committee for Student Affairs. Her research focuses on social media marketing, online marketing and online consumer behavior. She received Doctor of Philosophy in Marketing from National Taiwan University, funded by Scholarship Award from Taiwan Ministry of Education. She graduated MSc in Engineering Business Management from Warwick University, United Kingdom and got Bachelor Degree from Chulalongkorn University.
 

  Dr Orlan Lee, A.B., M.A., Ph.D., Juris Dr., LL.M.; Formerly: Associate Professor of East Asian Studies, Washington University, St. Louis; Adjunct Professor of Business & Management, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology; Professor of Management, Global Program s, New York Institute of Technology. Currently: Visiting Fellow/Life Member, Clare Hall, a College for Advanced Study in the University of Cambridge. He has published widely on comparative law and multinational management, and on legal informatics.
 

 Mr Ming Cheung received his MPhil and BEng in Electronic and Computer Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He currently is a Ph.D. student at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include computer vision, social networks and image processing.
